There has been some confusion over
the death of Nollywood actor, Muna
Obikwe’ s death but it has now been
confirmed. The actor was said to have
died of kidney failure in an undisclosed
hospital in Lagos on Sunday .
Until his death , the Enugu based actor
was one of the controversial actors in
the Nigerian movie industry.
Muna , who has a knack for acting
romantic scenes , once came under
attack for grabbing fellow actor , Biola
Ige ’ s breast, in the movie , Pregnant
Hawker .
His colleagues –Mike Ezuruonye ,
Empress Njama , Nonso Diobi – have
confirmed his death .
The AGN president , Ibinabo has
confirmed it too .
The renowned actor passed on today in
Festac after a silent battle with Kidney
disease .
He was rushed to the hospital after a
relapse and didn’ t make it .
Unconfirmed reports further reveal that
the death is directly linked to his
financial state . Muna , reportedly could
not afford his medical procedures due
to his poor finances , and had plans to
put together a stage play for
fundraising .
He rejected the opportunity to go
public with his condition , and seek
support from concerned people .
Actress Yvonne Jegede wrote , “Some
times i wish we don ’ t take some things
for granted . Been calling and his phone
is switched off . I wish i could have a
short chat with you now . I wish i could
just see you one more time . My friend ,
my colleague , my boss , my senior, my
GUYYYYYY … Tears won ’ t stop , my
heart beating faster, Bless the day i
